It starts at Shishu Mangal hospital. I was there for some work and also wanted to have a little bit of good time, but I didn’t have much money either. So I thought of going somewhere where I could have a little fun without spending too much. I’ve been to Bowbazar a few times, and I already had someone in mind that I could go to. She gives blowjobs and allows kissing, but doesn’t reciprocate much during it. She charges around 600 for half an hour—two shots—and the room charge is extra, around 200. I thought of going to her.
There’s one more reason I wanted to go to her—which is weird but true. I wanted to test how good Durex Real Feel condoms are compared to normal ones. So, I planned to use a normal condom for one shot and Durex Real Feel for the other to see the difference.
So, continuing the story—I was at Shishu Mangal and trying to go to Bowbazar. But suddenly, a thought struck me: Why don’t I explore Kalighat a bit as well? It’s literally close to Shishu Mangal, and I hadn’t found any stories related to that place. So, I put Kalighat as my location on my phone and started heading there.
After reaching Kalighat, I parked my bike near the temple. I opened a YouTube video that gave directions to the place and started walking, following the instructions. Then, I began seeing sex workers standing one after another. I was like, “Wow, here it is—I found it!” I kept walking further, and just as I was about to reach the end, I saw an extremely cute, petite, dark-skinned girl. I thought, “Oh God!” But I decided to go for her later—mainly for two reasons.
First, my bladder was full, and I needed to pee. In Bowbazar, I could use the restroom at Lady Dufferin Victoria Hospital, but here, I didn’t have much change (since I’d left my wallet at home), and I obviously couldn’t just pee on the road. The second reason was the condom testing.
So I turned around and headed back to my bike. I set the hospital’s location on my phone and started riding toward Bowbazar. Surprisingly, I had to pass through the same road again. Luckily, there was a traffic jam right where she was sitting earlier. I was completely mesmerized, looking into her eyes. I noticed she had sindoor on her forehead – maybe she was married. Suddenly, she saw me looking at her, and we locked eyes for a brief moment. I got super excited and immediately thought, “I need to come back for her soon.”
Then I started heading to my original destination. While traveling, I was also thinking about another girl there – a petite cutie who I could go with in Bowbazar. But she rarely comes to the place, as she mentioned last time I was having gulu-gulu with her.
With all these thoughts, I reached Lady Dufferin Victoria Hospital. I parked my bike and went to the washroom. After taking care of business, I started walking toward the red light area. I crossed the road, entered the gali opposite the hospital, and walked straight until the dead end, then took a right. The place was totally packed with sex workers and people – it was Sunday at 6:30 PM.
I started scanning the crowd but didn’t see the cute girl who rarely comes. I took a left toward the next girl who offers two shots for 600, but she wasn’t there either. I thought maybe she was busy or not around, so I kept walking straight and scanning.
Then I spotted a petite girl wearing a mask. I thought I might go with her, but decided to scan the whole place first. So I kept walking straight. After reaching the end, I opened the map shared by Rahul in his blog to check if the area was safe. I saw a green heart mark there and thanked God it was safe.
I approached the girl and asked, “Koto?” She said 300. I asked, “For half an hour?” She said 600. Then I asked, “Two shots?” She said yes. I got excited because I could test the condoms too. She started leading me to the opposite building, but I stopped and asked how much the room rent was. She said 100. I was like, “Okay, let’s go.”
She took me to the first floor. I still felt like using the washroom and asked her if there was one. She said yes and pointed to a washroom on the same floor. When I started going in, she said, “Give me the bag, I’ll hold it.” I was like, “No thanks.”
While in the washroom, I thought about my money. I had a total of 1400 rupees, with 500 hidden in my bag’s secret pocket—which I only discovered today after having the bag for a year. I wondered if I should move 200 rupees from the main compartment to the secret pocket. That way, the both main and secret pocket would have 700, and I only needed 700. But then I thought, It’s fine—I should keep at least 200 extra just in case there’s a scam. That way, I can show I have more money to make it look genuine.
I came out of the washroom. She was waiting for me and took me to a room at the end of the place. And that’s where the scam began.
She asked, “UPI or cash?” I said, “Cash.” I took out 700 from my bag and handed it to her. She was like, “Let me give this to my sister, I’ll be right back.” I was like, “Okay.”
Outside the room, there was another metal gate. She brought a middle-aged woman with her and locked the gate. Then the women told her, “Check him if he has any weapons.” I was confused but said, “Okay.” The woman checked my pockets, then went straight for my bag and started digging through it. After scanning it, she pulled out 200 rupees. The old lady then said, “I need more money.”
I was like, “Why? I already gave the full amount—600 for half an hour and 100 for the room.” She said, “No, the room rent is more.” Then she told me to show my phone. I refused: “No, I don’t use UPI—that’s why I said cash upfront. And I’m not showing my phone, it’s personal.”
She insisted, “We just want to see your UPI apps.” I repeated, “No, I don’t have any more money, and I’m not interested in sex anymore. Return my money, and I’ll leave.” She shot back, “Give 400 more, and do it.”
I could have pulled out the 500 from my secret pocket, but I realized their real agenda wasn’t just money—they wanted my phone to clean me out. So I stood firm: “No. And I’m not new here, so don’t try this with me.” I saw her face change—she looked shocked because I wasn’t scared at all.
After a minute of back-and-forth, she finally opened the door. As I walked away, I thought, “I need to recover as much money as possible.” So I turned and said, “Give me back 500—I didn’t even do anything.” She snapped, “No, that’s the entry charge.”
Then, suddenly, another woman came up from downstairs and lifted her nighty, probably trying to intimidate me. I didn’t flinch: “What are you doing? I’m not afraid of you people, so don’t try this with me.”
I knew I wasn’t getting the 500 back, so I switched tactics: “Fine, but I need money to get home. Give me something.” She sighed and handed me 100. Then she asked, “Where do you live?” I shot back, “That’s personal.” (I could have named a far-off place to get more money, but I don’t know Kolkata’s bus/train fares well enough to bluff.)
At that point, I was done. I said, “If you hadn’t pulled this scam, I would’ve come back again, and you could’ve made 10,000, not just 800. Your loss.” She muttered, “You’re not putting food in my stomach.” I just walked off.
As I left, she tried to act like some gunda, shouting, “Come back!” But I kept walking.
Then, after coming outside, I saw the girl I was looking for. At first, she was calling me too, so I ignored her and went back home.
That was the story.
If something like this ever happens to you, just don’t show that you’re scared, even if you are. That might work.
Stay tuned—I may share more stories, or maybe even reviews on condoms. I might also go to Kalighat and tell you that story too.

that’s why I take a keypad phone with no UPI 😂

thanks for sharing your horror story. it is a good reminder to be very cautious when dealing with these. while it is a good idea to not carry phone at all it becomes a practical problem, where to keep the main phone. if you carry phone registered with your bank then they might even force you to install upi app and then take all money out. Even if one negotiates everything up front then too there is no escape, they will make some excuse and loot you. We can’t even get the police involved as they also get cut from them in return for turning a blind eye to these loot. Even bowbazar is not safe, just too scary man.
