She insisted, “We just want to see your UPI apps.” I repeated, “No, I don’t have any more money, and I’m not interested in sex anymore. Return my money, and I’ll leave.” She shot back, “Give 400 more, and do it.”

As I left, she tried to act like some gunda, shouting, “Come back!” But I kept walking.

Then, after coming outside, I saw the girl I was looking for. At first, she was calling me too, so I ignored her and went back home.

That was the story.

Along the trail, you encounter cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, wooden bridges, and the untouched beauty of the Himalayas. It truly feels like walking through paradise.

Our next destination was Hemkund Sahib.

There is a popular belief among devotees that you can visit Hemkund Sahib only when the Guru calls you. After completing this challenging trek, I can understand why people say that. The 7-kilometre uphill climb was physically demanding. My legs were trembling with exhaustion, but my determination kept me moving forward. I had only one goal—to reach Hemkund Sahib, offer my prayers, and listen to the sacred Gurbani. Located at an altitude of about 14,200 feet (4,329 metres), Hemkund Sahib is the highest Gurudwaras in the world. Standing beside the pristine glacial lake, surrounded by snow-covered peaks, was a truly mesmerising and unforgettable experience.

Our final destination was Badrinath Dham.

Badrinath is one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Offering prayers at the temple and receiving the holy prasad filled me with a deep sense of peace and gratitude. The spiritual atmosphere, combined with the majestic Himalayan landscape, made the experience truly surreal.

This journey taught me that trekking is much more than climbing mountains. It tests your physical strength, mental resilience, and patience while rewarding you with unforgettable memories, inner peace, and a renewed perspective on life. Every difficult step becomes worthwhile when you witness the beauty that awaits at the destination.
